Osprey Submits Proposal for U.S. Border Wall

ATLANTA, Georgia. — During his election campaign, President Donald Trump stressed the importance of sealing the border with Mexico by building a wall. The 1,200-mile wall will span all the way from San Diego to Brownsville, Texas. Currently, around half the area is already covered by fences and walls. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Department has requested proposals from vendors to construct the wall. Osprey Management is one of a handful Georgia-based construction firms vying for the coveted project.
Albeit controversial, Kelvin King, owner of Osprey Management, noted that this project is merely a “…business opportunity and would not ‘let [his] politics get involved.’” The Atlanta Journal Constitution recently interviewed King and reported his stance on the project, “‘Regardless if you like it or not, it is going to go forward, it sounds like … I have no idea or thoughts or influence on where it goes. But right now, it looks real. And if it looks real, we have real ideas.’”
The Department requested contractors submit proposals for a solid concrete wall and a see-through wall. There are a number of specifications, and hundreds of companies around the nation have expressed interest. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Department will review the submissions and announce the winners in due course. The winners will have to make a pitch to the department after their selection.
